Kia Dupree debut book Robbing Peter, brings together
three main characters, Vivica, Iralaun, and Belinda. Vivica is
a struggling single mother of five children who is trying to do
right by her family and trying to keep her troublesome twin teenagers
out of trouble. Iralaun is a student that is learning that she
has to learn to give and receive trust. Belinda is a court judge
that is struggling with her relationship with men and her own father.
This novel brings us the question of where have all the fathers
gone when it comes to raising their children. The reader gets to
see how this novel brings answers to this question and how these
women lives are forever affected by the decision that they and
others around them make.
This novel will keep the reader intrigue from beginning to end.
It is a heart-warming novel that will make you laugh and cry plus
provide plenty of food for thought. The reader will find that this
novel has such a realistic ability. I feel anyone reading this
book will recognize someone that they know or heard about in the
same situations.
